For the final edition of this blog series, I will talk about perhaps the most common aspect of the topic- our dear society. It’s not like none of us knows what goes on in the society, what happens behind the doors of houses, what happens in the gossip of people and what is said in the pointless taunts and remarks passed as a part of routine. Therefore, I will not waste words trying to explain what is wrong, neither will I mention how to right it. I will simply mention the efforts that are already underway because luckily once again, this is one of the aspects that has had some light shed on to it in recent years. HOW TO SWITCH FROM ANDROID TO IPHONE


Since the release of Apple's android app "Move to iOS" moving your schedules, contacts and accounts from your android phone to a new iPhone has become easier than ever. It connects your android and iOS devices directly over a Wi-Fi connection and allows you to transfer your data with ease. It is worth noting that although the app transfers most of your data, it is unable to transfer your apps since they are not compatible and it also doesn't transfer your music or saved passwords. Additionally, if you have the newer iPhones or iPad variants you are not going to have any problems with the Move to iOS app, in fact if your device is running iOS 9 or higher the transfer is going to be hassle free. 

How to move your data using the Move to iOS app

  • Set up your new iPhone until you've reached the screen saying "Apps and Data".
  • Tap on the "Move from Android" option.
  • On your Android device, search and install the "Move to iOS" app from the play store
  • Open the app and tap on "Continue" on both devices
  • Tap on "Agree" followed by "Next" on your Android device
  • At this point, your iOS device should be displaying a 12 digit code on the screen, enter this code in your Android device as it is going to ask for it.
  • Once you successfully, your Android device will connect to your iOS device over Wi-Fi and work out the data that needs to be transferred.
  • Next you will be asked whether you wish to transfer your Google account so that you can quickly log in to your new Apple device with it.
  • Along with your google account, you will also have the option to select chrome bookmarks, contacts, text messages and the photos and videos present in your camera roll. Select all of the items you wish to transfer to your iOS device.
  • Once your transfer is complete, tap on "Continue Setting Up iPhone" to carry on with setting an Apple ID or logging in if you already have one.
  • Once this setup process is complete, you will be asked to log in to the accounts that you transferred over from you Android device, once you do that you're done.
If you're wondering about the time required for this transfer, it totally depends on the amount of data you're going to transfer. It can take longer especially if you have a lot of photos and videos. For reference, it takes around 8 minutes to transfer about 400MBs of files and set up the iPhone.

I recently came across a government post on Facebook, under which there was a person who made a certain remark in the comments. The guy so boldly suggested that women should not be allowed to give the CSS exam since their area of expertise lies in the cleaning of houses and cooking of food and not in the running of the country. He added, “Their eligibility to take the exam steals the opportunity from qualified individuals like myself and puts it into their inexperienced hands”. I laughed it off since it was clear that this person was crying over his own incompetence and decided to throw the blame over the women. The sad part of this little event, however, was that there were lines of other sick likeminded men in the comments who were praising the guy for passing this statement. It’s the year 2021 and all aspects of life have significantly progressed over time. The one thing that doesn’t seem to have even moved is the mentality of most of our men; men who believe we reside in an entirely safe state with no societal imperfections.
