For the final edition of this blog series, I will talk about perhaps the most common aspect of the topic- our dear society. It’s not like none of us knows what goes on in the society, what happens behind the doors of houses, what happens in the gossip of people and what is said in the pointless taunts and remarks passed as a part of routine. Therefore, I will not waste words trying to explain what is wrong, neither will I mention how to right it. I will simply mention the efforts that are already underway because luckily once again, this is one of the aspects that has had some light shed on to it in recent years. HOW TO REBUILD THE PS4's DATABASE


The Play Station 4 is one of the most coveted pieces of technology since its release back in 2013 with thousands of games, many exclusives and around 115 million units sold up until March of 2021. The hardware belonged the latest generation of gaming consoles from Sony and was succeeded by the Play Station 5 that was launched on November 12th 2020.

 If you own a PS4, it is highly likely that you may have experienced it lagging at some point during the course of its life and even though your console is second to none when it comes to specifications, this situation can still occur sue to different reasons, with a corrupt or faulty database being one of the more common ones. In order to fix your database you have to rebuild it and this works just like the defragmentation on your windows hard drive. It can solve a whole lot of issues ranging from freeing up much needed space to optimizing and creating a new database of all the content present on your console's hard drive, cleaning it up in other words. This makes your PS4 run faster, solves many performance issues and in many cases fixes your lag entirely eliminating the need for further troubleshooting. 

Moving on to the "how to" part, before you do anything else you will need to boot your PS4 in to safe mode. The specific steps for the process of rebuilding your database are as follows:

  1. You need to make sure that your console is completely powered off and that your DualShock 4 controller is connected to the PS4 through the USB cable that came with it since the Bluetooth feature will not work in safe mode.
  2. Boot up in the safe mode by holding down your power button for about 7 seconds until you hear two separate beeps. Once the PS4 boots up in safe mode you will see a menu with a list options.
  3. From the list that is displayed on your screen, select "Rebuild Database" option, making sure that you don't select "Initialize PS4" option since that will delete all of your data which is not what we're after.
  4. The screen will go black when the process is under way so you shouldn't  worry about it. Depending on how much data you have on your hard drive, the rebuilding phase can take time ranging from a few seconds to several minutes so be patient. Do not turn off your console until the rebuilding is complete, your PS4 will automatically restart once the process has finished.

I recently came across a government post on Facebook, under which there was a person who made a certain remark in the comments. The guy so boldly suggested that women should not be allowed to give the CSS exam since their area of expertise lies in the cleaning of houses and cooking of food and not in the running of the country. He added, “Their eligibility to take the exam steals the opportunity from qualified individuals like myself and puts it into their inexperienced hands”. I laughed it off since it was clear that this person was crying over his own incompetence and decided to throw the blame over the women. It’s the year 2021 and all aspects of life have significantly progressed over time. The one thing that doesn’t seem to have even moved is the mentality of most of our men; men who believe we reside in an entirely safe state with no societal imperfections.
