HOW TO MAKE AGLIO E OLIO WITH MUSHROOMS
Yes, we do love Pakistani dishes, but why not try a little bit of Italian food as well?
Aglio e Olio is a simple Italian pasta dish, which is easy to make and trust me it’s always a winner! But hey wait, you probably will be wondering what does this name mean and how are we supposed to pronounce it? No need to go to Youtube separately to search about this, because I have got you covered and will tell you here.
Aglio (Ah-lee-o) means “garlic”, e (Eh) means “and” and Olio (O-lee-o) means “oil or olive oil” to be specific.
Without further ado, let's discover how to make this goodness!
Ingredients:
Spaghetti - 1 pack (You can go with whichever shape you like)
Garlic - 8-10 cloves
Heavy cream - 1 cup
Olive Oil - According to need
Mushrooms - 1 cup
Parmesan cheese - 2 teaspoons
Basil leaves - according to taste
Chilli flakes - 1/2 Teaspoon
Black pepper - 1 and ½ Teaspoon (you can add more if you desire)
Milk - optional
*If your heavy cream’s consistency is thick, add milk in it to reach a honey-like consistency. 🍯
Procedure:
Boil spaghetti for 15 mins and do not forget to add a generous amount of salt in the water in which you will be boiling your spaghetti. Drain it when done and keep it aside. Cut garlic cloves in thin slices. Take a pan, add 1-½ tablespoon olive oil in it and toss the sliced garlic in the pan. Let them sizzle till they are golden brown. Take a relatively larger pan, put 5-6 tablespoons of olive oil in it and toss the drained spaghetti. Now add heavy cream, add salt, chilli flakes, black pepper and parmesan cheese and mix it all well. Now add mushrooms and mix again. Cook it for 5-10 mins.
Now immediately pour the hot and tasty aglio e olio in your bowl, garnish garlic and basil leaves on top. And now your perfect and fun-to-cook meal is ready to eat! 🍲
